The short version
KinClarity is designed to collect the information needed to provide and protect the service, give users control over sharing, and keep information only for a defined purpose. A new workspace is private until the user chooses to share.
Private workspace content—including document text, messages, safety answers, financial values, clause text, and credential evidence—is not used for advertising analytics.
Information we collect and why
Account and profile information identifies the user and supports authentication, communication, and account recovery. Matter, workflow, document, message, contact, and sharing information provides the organization and collaboration features the user requests.
Professional, consent, support, security, device, and limited usage information supports verification, user choices, customer support, fraud prevention, service reliability, and audit review. Sensitive facts should be requested only inside the protected workflow that needs them.
Private spaces, sharing, and safety
Creating an account or matter does not notify a spouse, partner, family member, or Professional. Users choose the recipient, matter, and documents to share. Access grants can expire or be revoked and are recorded for review.
A party's private capacity, coercion, safety, protected-contact, disclosure-draft, and counsel communications are not shared with another party. When a protected answer pauses work, other participants see only that work is paused—not the answer that caused it. Notification previews are minimized and should not reveal sensitive matter facts.
When information is shared
Information may be shared with a participant or Professional the user authorizes, a service provider needed to operate KinClarity, or an authority when disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety. KinClarity does not give every person attached to a matter access to every document.
Service providers must be reviewed for security, confidentiality, retention, deletion, and prohibited secondary use. KinClarity does not authorize service providers to train their models on private user content by default.
How long information is kept
Retention is based on the type of information and the reason it is needed. Account, profile, matter, workflow, file, and message information may be kept while an account or workspace is active so KinClarity can provide the requested service.
After an account closes or deletion is requested, eligible information is deleted or de-identified through a controlled process. Security and audit evidence, shared legal records, financial records, disputes, fraud-prevention records, backups, and legal holds may require limited retention. KinClarity will publish an approved category-by-category schedule before this notice becomes effective rather than promise dates the service cannot yet support.
Export, deletion, and other choices
Users can request an export or account deletion from Settings. A reviewed deletion job covers authentication, database records, stored files, and service queues. The deletion result should identify what was deleted, de-identified, or retained by category and why; deletion is not necessarily immediate.
Users can also revoke a person's access without closing the account. Optional marketing consent can be withdrawn independently, and account deletion or access revocation does not depend on marketing preferences. Additional privacy rights may apply based on location and will be described before this notice becomes effective.
Security and limits
KinClarity uses authenticated access, row-level authorization, private storage, short-lived access links, upload scanning, audit records, backups, and incident controls as those features are released. Access and important workflow events are recorded so suspicious activity can be investigated.
No system can promise absolute security. Users should protect their credentials, use safe contact channels, review sharing access, and avoid uploading information that is not needed for the matter.
Draft status and future changes
This notice remains pending qualified privacy and legal counsel review. It is not active until an approved version, effective date, required jurisdiction-specific disclosures, and contact process are recorded.
A material change requires a new version and notice before it governs future use. KinClarity should not claim a privacy certification or legal compliance status that has not been independently established.
